PS: bug is in apport-gtk while every apport-cli works

Martin Pitt (pitti) wrote :

-cli and -gtk are no different in that regard, they use the same checks. The most plausible cause is that right after an install you need to refresh the package list. If you wait a day, then it gets refreshed automatically; you can also start synaptic and use the refresh button.

Does it work after that?

Changed in apport (Ubuntu):
status: New → Incomplete

Hi Martin, you're right refreshing the package list, which was done by the update manager in the time between GUI and CLI attempt solved the issue.

-> What about auto requesting the packge list on first startup ?
