Bug Description
Binary package hint: apport
I have X crashing quite often in the last days (around once per day): the screen/display gets distorted for half a second, then I get back to the KDM login screen again.
Unfortunately apport does not notice these crashes, maybe due to this:
apport (pid 14883) Tue Nov 3 21:51:39 2009: Unhandled exception:
Traceback (most recent call last):

ValueError: Invalid process ID: [Errno 2] No such file or directory: '/proc/2206'
pid: 14883, uid: 0, gid: 0, euid: 0, egid: 0
environment: {}
Is the process gone too fast? Shouldn't apport make it stay until all info is retrieved?
