mouse cursor automatically runs on the right side of screen

I have updated ubuntu on version 9... since I have problems with
my mouse. Cursor often runs automatically on the right side of screen.
If I reboot my system sometimes it works correctly sometimes it is the
same problem.

Additionally I often have following error message at the beginning:
hal_lpadmin service crashed
(I became it in german language so my translation is not quite correct)
