Apport can not find my internet connection and does not send bug reports

Binary package hint: apport

In Karmic I wanted to report a bug using apport but when the report is ready it can not be sent because apport can not find my Internet connection, it says "Is not possible to connect to the error data base, please check your Internet connection" as is shown in the screenshot I am attaching here, where it is seen that I actually have a working Internet connection, so I did what is said in https://help.ubuntu.com/community/ReportingBugs#Filing%20bugs%20when%20off-line using the command apport-cli -f -p <package name>, so this is the output of the command:

There are shown some errors I had with totem some days ago (I reported that also).

I don't think it's a problem with proxy or Internet connection....may be the database address is given wrong in apport settings...

Hi,

I just met with the same problem. ubuntu-bug tool does not work.

My internet connection works perfectly. The user's groups are : 1000 (himself), gid 1000, adm, cdrom, audio, video, plugdev, lpadmin, netdev, admin, sambashare, and again 1000 (himself). /why and how come twice ? :?
