Bug Description
Binary package hint: apport
I am upgrading from jaunty to karmic, and hit this error at the end of the "Installing the upgrades" part. I had previously had errors about the memtest+ upgrade.
This is possibly a duplicate of bug #332350 but I thought I would report it separately so the apport data is recorded. I see it is fixed in karmic - is there any plan to backport to jaunty?
One particular problem, which may be the problem of the upgrade-manager package was that the error window popped up behind the main upgrade window, so I didn't spot it for a while - it appeared that the whole process had just hung.
