Bug Description
Binary package hint: apport
I had just logged in and out from a gnome session, after copying an xorg.conf file from my hard disk to the 9.10 ram image (in /etc/X11), so that the screen resolution would be correct. The system on the hard disk is 9.04. A problem with 9.x Ubuntu on this Averatec 3280 laptop is that the wrong screen resolution is chosen when Xorg starts up (the higher resolution screen image is clipped to 1024x768 - this problem has been reported as a bug by me).
After I logged back in, with the screen res at 1024x768, a warning icon appeared on the upper panel, and I clicked on it to submit this report.
Note that if any 9.04 files are seen by the bug scan program, that's because the 9.04 root partition is mounted on /mnt
