after booting to ubuntu with secure boot disabled,i typed "ubuntu-bug shim" but this is what i got.......

If you have installed with secureboot, the package you would have installed is shim-signed, not shim. So there's nothing unexpected here from the shim package's perspective.
However, the apport hook shown here shouldn't error out in this way, but instead fall through.
