Bug Description

Quantal i386 logged as gnome-classic
As i've got some nautilus:3022 errors, i've ran :

oem@dub:~$ ubuntu-bug 3022
Traceback (most recent call last):
  File "/usr/share/apport/apport-gtk", line 587, in <module>
    app.run_argv()
  File "/usr/lib/python3/dist-packages/apport/ui.py", line 632, in run_argv
    return self.run_report_bug()
  File "/usr/lib/python3/dist-packages/apport/ui.py", line 406, in run_report_bug
    self.report.add_proc_info(self.options.pid)
  File "/usr/lib/python3/dist-packages/apport/report.py", line 492, in add_proc_info
    assert os.path.exists(self['ExecutablePath'])
AssertionError

Usually if the ID exist (3022 here) then ubuntu-bug process to collect the required info. But that time i get that output (first time)

ubuntu-bug with a number is designed to look up that bug number in Launchpad and then gather information about that source package on your system. bug 3022 is not about an Ubuntu package though and that is why you are running into this error. If you really want to report a bug about nautilus you should use the command 'ubuntu-bug nautilus' which will open a new bug about the nautilus package.

Regardless, apport should probably tell you something if try to use ubuntu-bug with a bug that is not about an Ubuntu source package.

Thanks Brian for the explanations,

you are right indeed , i know that using a "number" refer to an existing report "number", and its my fault if i use it the wrong way. But apport was working, and i was used to report using an ID. So instead of getting the error reported here, a simple message should be displayed : the "number" used is not a known report.
