apport does not hook into firefox even though firefox is open

Bug Description

Binary package hint: apport

Hi there,
         This happens intermittently, even though firefox is open and in preferred applications Firefox has been optimised to open link in new tab apport does not open a new tab with Launchpad. There is also no error report or why or where things went wrong. Sending a screenshot also.

If you call 'ubuntu-bug' in a terminal while Firefox is open, do you see any output? Can you please copy&paste it here?
