Without this, mkinitramfs errors out with:

Belows patch is wrong the scripts function sourcing should
happen after the prereqs block, but the error message looks
valid and possible. As the boot hooks are precached run on
mkinitramfs build since newer initramfs-tools.

Sorry bug this was 4 years ago, back before I gave up on ubuntu.
No idea whether it's needed or not today, I'll let you figure it out.
