Bug Description

Binary package hint: adept

Description: Ubuntu intrepid (development branch)
Release: 8.10

Adept: 3.0 Beta 2 (Battleship)

I've found Okular being shown 17 times, and it is the same with many other packages/applications.

This is a bug in app-install-data. It takes the desktop files that apps like Okular or Krita use for mimetype handling and generates .desktop files for managers such as Adept Install or gnome-app-install to use. You can check in gnome-app-install too, you'll see multiple Okulars and Kritas there as well.

This bug was fixed in the package app-install-data-ubuntu - 0.6.8

app-install-data-ubuntu (0.6.8) intrepid; urgency=low

  * likewise-open-gui-kde.desktop,
    - removed, we have that twice (LP: #213207)
  * remove duplication of kde4 okular (LP: #269520)
  * menu-data/applications.menu:
    - update to match changes in upstream gnome-menus so that
      the correct icons show up again (LP: #244401)
