Bug Description

Binary package hint: apcupsd

I installed apcupsd from Ubuntu Software Center on a fresh 11.04 i386 install with all current updates. It ran once without the config file being setup. It then crashed while I was exploring its capabilities. When I tried to remove the package using the USC, I got an error message stating that it did not complete. I would up doing a complete removal via Synaptic Package Manager without errors. Subsequent reinstall attempts result in the application not running when launched.

Same result with apcupsd amd64 3.14.14-2

I've done an sudo apt-get -f install to make it finish, but after editing the two configuration files to say

DEVICE=

in /etc/apcupsd/apcupsd.conf (it's a USB model and doesn't need to be told which device) and

ISCONFIGURED=yes

in /etc/default/apcupsd, I am getting

"Failed to add /run/systemd/ask-password to directory watch: No space left on device"

errors, when I try to start the service.
