Bug Description

Occurred while upgrading form 12.04 to 14.04.

Could have something to do with the fact that the file is bound to another, ie. running mount reveals this line (among others less relevant):

/home/ubuntu/bootstrap/apache2/ports.conf on /etc/apache2/ports.conf type none (rw,bind)

Although as far as I can tell, the original file should be writable.

Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better.

Due to your unusual configuration, I don't think it's reasonable to expect the maintainer script to be able to automatically deal with your situation. It'll need tweaking manually. Thus, I don't consider this to be a bug, so am marking this Invalid.

If you disagree, please do explain and change the bug status back to New. Thanks!

Changed in apache2 (Ubuntu):
status: New → Invalid
