Bug Description
Binary package hint: apache2
In feisty: When apache2 package (version 2.2.3-3.2) is selected for installation in Adept, it installs but then the web server does not launch automatically and cannot be launched manually because the file /etc/apache2/
The /etc/init.d/apache2 script fails silently:
mike@continuity:~$ sudo /etc/init.d/apache2 start
mike@continuity:~$ sudo /etc/init.d/apache2 foo
mike@continuity:~$ sudo /etc/init.d/apache2 whatever
mike@continuity:~$ /usr/sbin/apache2

This is fixed in Debian's apache2 (2.2.3-3.3). Ubuntu has version 2.2.3-3.2.
