AOLserver textfields show a special symbol when provided with an empty value

The problem is described in detail in a couple of threads on OpenACS, collected under http://openacs.org/forums/message-view?message_id=4229777. Ultimately this means you can't use AOLserver in Ubuntu 14.04 LTS if you have any text input form.

Suggestion is to use the latest version of AOLserver from CVS (converted to GITHUB for easier access at https://github.com/cognovis/aolserver, at least this helped when I had to recompile everything (this holds also true for nspostgresql and nssha1 / nscache).
