The following error happens with any package actually. So I believe there's something wrong with the version of antlr installed. But that's only a guess.

The package install perfectly on my Ubuntu 8.10 system. Unable to reproduce the bug. Need more information on this to resolve. I would suggest u to remove the older version of Antlr and try installing antlr_2. 7.7-6ubuntu4_ all.deb.
