Emulator x86 not functioning on amd gfx

I have an all amd base unit. Installing the emulator here seems to work fine. Running it however displays the following error

I have the Proprietary fglrx drive installed and the result of lspci is listed below.

Would be nice to have the package version used (binary one) as well.

From your logs:
emulator: Initializing hardware OpenGLES emulation support
signal: segmentation fault (core dumped)

It's probably crashing when trying to create the gl window that accepts the gl commands translated by the gles -> gl library. There's nothing really special in there, so it'd be nice to have a stack trace or core dump to better understand what is going on.

It seems this is a common issue with the android emulator as well.

I'll try and get a core dump if it doesn't crash apport again

Managed to get the crash file however it crashed apport again so I have no idea if it is complete, Running manually crashed apport again so it might be over to you with your added knowledge to do something useful with it sorry.
