Copy ED2K link to clipboard works strange

When I right-click a file and select "Copy ED2K link to clipboard", the paste function works only on some programs.

For example, I can paste to a terminal with a mouse middle-click, but I can't use the paste function on firefox (it pastes my old clipboard content).
I tried to do the same with gedit. I found than middle-click works nice, but paste function in menu pastes old data again.
It seems to be OK only when I use the middle-click on the mouse.

I am using Ubuntu 6.06 with amule 2.1.3

This is still happening with latest 2.2.0 builds (and the hardy package).
