Bug Description

It has to do with my variable $hostname that is not a FQDN but I don't have a FQDN because I don't have a mail server on my machine. Is there a way to get around this or do I have to desinstall amavis?
Yes this is a bug because it happens all the time when there's updates.

Yes, an invalid configuration will keep generating an error :)

How about you set something like this up:

echo myhostname | sudo tee /etc/hostname
sudo hostname myhostname
echo 127.0.1.1 myhostname.homenet myhostname | tee -a /etc/hosts

After that, the "hostname" command should return "myhostname", and "hostname -f" (the important one for this case) should return "myhostname.homenet".

How are you using amavisd without an smtp server? Or is it in another machine? I'll note that you have this error in your logs as well, so something is at least trying to use postfix:

jui 08 07:49:49 hostname postfix/sendmail[2988]: fatal: open /etc/postfix/main.cf: No such file or directory
