Hi,
thank you for your report and your help to make Ubuntu better.

In the logs I only found:
Dec 22 16:34:50 hostname systemd[1]: Failed to start LSB: Starts amavisd-new mailfilter.
Dec 22 16:34:50 hostname systemd[1]: amavis.service: Failed with result 'exit-code'.

And:
Setting up amavisd-new (1:2.10.1-2ubuntu1) ...
Creating/updating amavis user account...
Job for amavis.service failed because the control process exited with error code. See "systemctl status amavis.service" and "journalctl -xe" for details.
invoke-rc.d: initscript amavis, action "start" failed.

I quickly tried, but it is not generally failing.
Quite often that is due to a local configuration change that lets the (updated) service no more start.

While it seems to be the issue that is not enough detail to make any assumptions yet.
Could you add the output of: "systemctl status amavis.service"

Also do you have applied any custom config to amavis?
