Bug Description
Binary package hint: amarok
When Amarok crashes it tries to open kmail to send a bug report to <email address hidden>. But if kmail is not installed, the bug report is lost (at least to me...).
I have had Amarok crash a few times, where it ends with complaning that kmail is not installed. After I installed kmail I managed to get a bug report sent to the Amarok bugs list.
So, either installing Amarok should also force kmail to be installed or the bug information should be handled in another way, making it accesible to the average user like me.

I agree. Ubuntu is working on a program called apport that intercepts crashes and sends them to launchpad. That's a great improvement over the kmail requirement that currently seems to exist. Since Amarok is in the Qt3->Qt4 transition now, this probably won't be able to be addressed for a few months or so.
In the meantime, please check bugs.kde.org to see if a similar bug as this one has been reported on Amarok's bugtracker. Provide a link here so we can track it upstream.
Thanks
