Bug Description

Binary package hint: amarok

Amarok 1.4.5 requires libgpod 0.4.2 (provided by the libgpod1 package). It looks like the package for 1.4.5 isn't compiled with ipod support.

Sounds like a confirmation to me.

I think iPod support comes from running ./configure with the flag --with-libgpod, which I would assume Brandon had enabled when he built 1.4.5 I'm sure he'll get to this soon, as there's also a collection scanner issue in bug 83454

Yes, for example, on Edgy (Amarok 1.4.4):

# dpkg -L amarok | grep ipod
/usr/share/services/amarok_ipod-mediadevice.desktop
/usr/lib/kde3/libamarok_ipod-mediadevice.la
/usr/lib/kde3/libamarok_ipod-mediadevice.so

And on the new Fesity package:

# dpkg -L amarok | grep ipod

(returns nothing)
