Bug Description
Binary package hint: amarok
When installing amarok on Ubuntu (dapper or edgy) there is no dependency on kdebase-
Manually installing kdebase-kio-plugins also pulls in libdbus-qt-1-1c2, which is also needed.

I'll second this.
I spent a while trying to figure out why my media device (aka an ipod running rockbox) wasn't being detected. When you clicked autodetect devices in the settings dialog you get a message telling you to try:
dcop kded mediamanager fullList
This would return "call failed" for me. Since I run gnome and am not familiar with KDE's dcop stuff, I had to figure out how to trouble shoot this.
In the end I discovered that "dcop kded kded loadedModules" didn't show mediamanager and that I had to install this missing dependency to load it via "dcop kded kded loadModule mediamanager".
After that it properly detected media devices.
Ciao!
