Binary package hint: amarok
When I try to play any flac file in Amarok, I get the following error:
Error Loading Media
There is no available decoder.
This bug has been hanging around since Amarok 1.4 came out on the kubuntu repositories. I think I remember reading that fixing it requires a re-build of libxine. |

When I try to play any flac file in Amarok (1.4.3-ubuntu9 on edgy), I get the following error:
Error Loading Media
There is no available decoder.
This bug has been hanging around since Amarok 1.4 came out on the kubuntu repositories (post-dapper). There are several bug reports on the KDE bug system that say you need to install libxine 1.1.2, but that version is already installed on my edgy box. |

all you need to do to play *.flac files in edgy ( or dapper ) is " sudo apt-get install libxine-extracodecs " ( restart amarok after this is installed )
I confirmed this with a fresh install and a test .flac file obtained from http://ff123.net/samples/BigYellow.flac
