Insists on installing mp3 codec

Bug Description

Even though you pick no in the dialog box asking if you want to install the mp3 codecs it still continues to ask if you want to enable multiverse and if you say no to that it says there was an error installing the mp3 codec

I can confirm this it happened to me for an hour or 2 until i rebooted. i cant think of the name of the dialog but its not amarok its kd something.

yeah. it's kdialog, but I'm pretty sure it's started and made by Amarok

Do you have mp3s in your collection? This may happen because amarok wants to install mp3 support since it found a mp3 file in your collection. Are you on Edgy and 1.4.3? Does this still happen? Thank you.

It happened on 1.4.4 but i have reverted to doing it the normal way (install codecs than try using amarok)

This sounds like a duplicate of bug 58617, where refusing to install mp3 supports leaves you with an mp3 successfully message. Please continue discussion on that bug's page, if it's still a problem for you. Thanks.
