I have this too now. It worked last week, today it does not. Same screen as the one uploaded.

Forgot to mention, this is 8.10 with kde4 on it from the kubuntu repository.

deleting all my personal config (.kde/share/apps/amarok and .kde/share/config/amarok*) and restarting, gives a working amarok again.

This bug report is being closed due to your last comment regarding this being fixed by reverting to the default configuration. Unfortunately, we cannot be sure what caused the error in the first place. I also had the following errors and crash during the startup of amarok:

Reinstalling amarok or amarok-nightly from several different sources did not help.
