Bug Description

I'm using a fresh install of stable breezy (Kubuntu) on amd64. I tried
amarok-gstreamer but it won't play mp3s : i get the message : [Gstreamer Error]
**gstffmpegdec.c(653): gst_ffmpeg_negociate: /thread/decodebin6/ffdec_mp36
failed to lin...

Concerning amarok-arts, it won't play mp3s and I don't get any output or error
message.

Amarok-xine is working just fine (if last.fm is disabled because it is using a
lot of CPU if I let it enabled Bug #23289).

Hi,

for playing mp3 with gstreamer, you have to activate the universe and multiverse
repositories in sources.list (or via synaptic, update-manager, adept?) and
apt-get install gstreamer0.8-mad

Regards,

This was already done :) There's probably a bug here.

I'm having this same problem on Ubuntu i386 in Breezy.

Using the xine engine. The program freezes, opens a dialog that it couldn't
find a KDE mail client and then crashes, throwing the following out to the terminal:

*** glibc detected *** double free or corruption (!prev): 0x090f8360 ***
*** glibc detected *** double free or corruption (!prev): 0x090f8360 ***

Using gstreamer, the following is thrown to the terminal:

QWidget::setMinimumSize: The smallest allowed size is
(0,0)QComboBox::setCurrentItem: (speakerComboBox) Index 1 out of range
QWidget::setMinimumSize: The smallest allowed size is (0,0)
QComboBox::setCurrentItem: (speakerComboBox) Index 1 out of range
*** glibc detected *** double free or corruption (!prev): 0x090d4410 ***

Amarok-arts is now working on my computer but amarok-gstreamer is still crashing
(also kaffeine-gstreamer -> the problem seems to come from gstreamer0.8 on AMD64)

This is fixed for me, Thanks !
