Amarok crashes after one track when using ALSA output device other than default

Bug Description

When I change the ALSA device to plughw:0,0 or plughw:1,0 from default (mono & stereo only, I leave the 4&6 channel ones as-is), amarok plays through the correct device at first (for one track only), however when the track is changed a message about xine not being able to init drivers appears (even though nothing else is using the device) and then amarok crashes. I have been able to replicate this consistently and can not find another way to get amarok to play out a different audio device.
