Bug Description
I'm not sure if this qualifies as a bug - but I'll jot it down here regardless, in case it helps someone else with this problem.
When installing both ubuntu and kubuntu feisty fawn herd 5 and the latest daily build (i386), I had problems with the sound being very distorted in my speakers. After a little checking around in the mixer settings, I discovered the problem was that the mixer had defaulted to Digital Output, which obviously doesn't work very well with an analog speaker setup. ;) After disabling the Digital Output setting, everything worked as intended.
