Bug Description

There is a popping sound that occurs very shortly after the login screen appears. It consists of two very rapid pops, but is not the popping sound normally heard when using multimedia keys to change the volume. This same popping sound occurs when changing the volume.

The problem can be recreated by using the slider in the sound menu to change the volume. The popping noise will the occur. The volume of the popping sound is the same, regardless of the volume that is selected.

This does not seem to have an impact on the playback of sound, other than the popping sound occuring after playback of the sound is paused. For example, when you play a sound file in Rhythmbox and then hit pause the popping sound occurs after the pause button has been pressed.
