Bug Description

When trying to click on channel A in sound options channel B is selected. After second click attempt on channel A it's selected but doesn't work. After software suspend internal built-in audio is selected and M-AUDIO channels are muted so I need to select channel B (channel A simply doesn't work) and unmute it after every suspend. Sometimes when unplugging the card and replugging it again ubuntu doesn't see it (until reboot).

Also see the image attached.

Please, note that all this stuff (both channels, correct sound source selection after resume, consistent plugging in/out) was working correctly in ubuntu 11.10 and in 12.04 beta 1.
