Bug Description

I was having an issue with the Globe and Mail flash videos and installed the PP flashplugin. Since then, I have lost sound in other flash videos as well.

I checked a page I wrote in HTML5 with a non-flash embedded audio file and it runs just fine with good sound.

It's a moot point at the moment as I just had a partial upgrade that removed the flashplugin installer and I can't get it back as ndiswrapper will not be installed.

I trust this is a temporary situation, as antiquated as it is, most websites still use iframes and flash rather than the far simpler HTML5.

I expect they would still use stone knives and bearskins if they could.

Flash video is back but still not the audio. With an extension I can download the flash movies and see/hear them perfectly with the gnome media player plugin as is or converted to an mp4.

Chromium and Epiphany share the same issue, so the only common denominator appears to be flashplugin.

The audio started working again after this morning's updates. I didn't see anything in particular that may have solved this bug, but solved it is, at least for me.
