I can barely hear my speakers when up all the way

Bug Description

So I just installed my Ubuntu 11.10 on my Vaio desktop that previously had windows 7 on it and the sound worked perfectly with windows but since I switched to Ubuntu, even when I turn it up all the way I can barely hear it, any help would be much appreciated.

Unfortunately I'm not familiar with troubleshooting a problem like this, but with the necessary information attached hopefully someone else will be able to.

VGC-RC110G seem support surround 5.1

there are four audio jacks at rear panel and two jacks at front panel
