Bug Description

I use a logitech webcam that has a microphone ([USB-Audio - USB Device 0x46d:0x802, recording], the sound control reports it as webcam c200). When trying to record sounds using this microphone, the recorded sound sounds too high pitched and too fast, like a record that is spun too fast. The problem does not occur with the internal microphone, only with the webcam microphone. The problem is a new one that first occurred with oneiric, the webcam's microphone used to work up until natty.

The way to reproduce the problem is to use sound recorder and try to record something, then play it back. it will sound too fast and too high-pitched. Skype also cannot make a sound call.

What is interesting is that running ubuntu-bug audio asked me to record sound using this sound device: this time my voice sounded normal, neither fast nor high-pitched.
