[Latitude E6500, IDT 92HD71B7X, Mic, Internal] No sound at all

Internal mic does not work and is not able to capture sound.
The same used to work with Ubuntu Maverick, but is not working after updating to Natty.

This issue also exists with the latest alsa driver available in ppa:ubuntu-audio-dev/ppa.
