I have here a Medion PC with a HDA Intel card and in previous versions of ubuntu this card was detected without any problems but now in feisty there is something really crazy: Sometimes all works perfect. The card is detected, sound works in all applications with alsa or oss and aoss but sometimes the card can't be detected and in the control-center in the audio manager is only the soundchip of my tv card listet (normal) but not the HDA Intel card...
I tryed cold start, warm start (I don't know if this are also the right english words...) and so on but I can't find a connection between different ways to start. It looks like it's random.
Can you help me debugging this curious thing? I have no idea how to do that... and I coul'nt find another bug report like this. |

PS: I'm not shure if this problem have to do with alsa or the kernel... |

So it sounds like the saa7134 module should be blacklisted for your sound card. Could you please provide the output of `lspci -vvn`? That should be all the information the devs need to implement this in feisty. |

Thanks for that info. I think it should be enough, but stay posted in case an actual dev needs more info! |
