[Realtek ALC888] Playback problem -- "speaker" volume resets to 0 after reboot

Bug Description

Everytime I reset the system the "speaker" volume level is set back to 0. Tried to run "alsamixer" and "alsatcl store" but it keeps reseting.

Started after upgrading from 9.10 to 10.04.

I found this work-around:
gksudo gedit /etc/pulse/default.pa

And commented out:
#load-module module-device-restore

This release of Ubuntu is no longer receiving maintenance updates. If this is still an issue on a maintained version of Ubuntu please let us know.
