Bug Description

The volume controls only change the left channel ; the right channel stays at full volume. The only exception is when reaching 0% volume, where both channels are muted.

Thanks for your bug report. What volume controls are you talking about? if you adjust the volume from the sound menu, does the same problem occur?

Please try adjusting the master volume in alsamixer. Open a terminal, and run alsamixer, then use the up and down arrows to change the master volume. Please report back as to whether the same thing happens when using alsamixer.

Thanks.

The problem happens when adjusting the volume from the sound menu or using the keyboard volume keys.

I tried launching alsamixer but I get the following message :
$ LANG=C alsamixer
cannot open mixer: No such file or directory

I have no /etc/asound.conf or ~/.asoundrc on this system.
