Bug Description

Description: Ubuntu 11.04
Release: 11.04

When I go to sound preferences with Plantronics DSP 400 plugged in, I can see the device listed in Hardware tab
I select the device and "analog stereo duplex" or any other and hit the test speaker button, the dialog gets hidden(closed) and nothing happens but it shows the speaker test dialog for internal sound card.
Input and output tabs in sound preferences does not list the Plantronics ports even if the device is selected in hardware.
When reporting this bug, the test tone played twice. First time I could hear alternating beep from plantronics and second time from desktop speaker.
