Bug Description

I'm using the sound "card" directly on the motherboard. no physical card. I'm using the Logitech S-120 series speakers (just basic dual-speaker set with a tip and ring configuration). Tried everything I could think of. Ubuntu 11.04- the Natty Narwhal.

The list is empty and my sound card also does not show in Alsa.

Tried to do modprobe:

$ sudo modprobe via82cxxx_audio
FATAL: Module via82cxxx_audio not found.

As far as I can tell the driver is not in the system, but how do I update to get it installed?

Tried running Ubuntu 11.04 off the USB pendrive and then sound worked, so I did a complete reinstall and this solved the problem.
