[Thinkpad W700] No sound playback

My Thinkpad W700 won't play any sound at all with Ubuntu 10.10. Here is the ALSA info script output:

Hmm, you still appear to be using a model quirk according to your alsa-info.sh output:

model : thinkpad,

Can you remove that quirk from the relevant /etc/modprobe.d/* file, reboot, and confirm that capturing and playing back audio work correctly?

I removed the 'quirk' and rebooted. Here is the new alsa-info:
