sound is crackling while doing other stuff and amarok is playing in the backround

Binary package hint: amarok

When I listen to music with Amarok, the sound is sometimes crackling while the processor is busy (like refreshing sites in firefox, hard disk writing etc.). It started after upgrade to 10.10.

Amarok doesn't handle sound, it's using Phonon for that.

Crackling is usually coming from the combination of PulseAudio and buggy alsa driver, moving but once more ^^

Well, I am using Ubuntu 11.04 know, and the problem is still here... When I play music in Clementine and cpu or i/o operations are high, the sound starts to crack. I't VERY anoying...

This release of Ubuntu is no longer receiving maintenance updates. If this is still an issue on a maintained version of Ubuntu please let us know.
