Bug Description

source package: pulseaudio

release of Ubuntu: 10.04

I expected my microphone to work when booting into ubuntu and it doesn't. It works perfectly fine when I boot into windows xp.

What happens instead is that my microphone does not record my voice when I test it using sound recorder.

Have you checked your input settings under System->Preferences->Sound to make sure that the correct input is selected and it is not on mute?

Good Afternoon:

Thanks for the contact.

Yes, have made sure that the correct input is selected and that it is not on
mute.

Have looked through many posts about this, just haven't been able to
successfully troubleshoot yet.

Appreciate your help with this.
