You have hardware not in the Conexant model register. Please try updating your alsa drivers, as outlined here:

Upstream produces the effect of playing through both the headphones and
speakers at the same time, but I'm also having this issue in Gentoo, so...

Next step for conexant would be to try different models, hopefully one of these will work. Make sure the latest drivers are installed according to the above, then edit the file /etc/modprobe.d/alsa-base.conf
and add the following line:
options snd-hda-intel model=dell-laptop
Reboot and test. Other models to test are:
thinkpad
ideapad
hp_laptop
dell-vostro
olpc-xo-1_5

Let me know which version works best for you, and please also test whether recording from different inputs are working with different models. Thanks!

I got a new Acer TM 8572 has the same Conexant chip.
The good news is using thinkpad model could make it works.
Before adding "options snd-hda-intel model=thinkpad", no sound from headphone jack and no sound could be record as well.
Anyway, thanks a lot.

works, and others no.

Totally missed this bug. For this hardware ID, ideapad works without issue for another user, and therefore a patch was sent upstrea to make the fix perminant.
