Bug Description
I'm using a Toshiba L635-SP3006M with Ubuntu 10.10. When I connect headphones to it, sound still comes from the integrated speakers, and no sound comes from the headphones. Furthermore, I have been unsuccessful on recording through the integrated microphone and also by plugging in an external microphone.
Alsamixer says the card is an HDA Intel with an Intel IbexPeak HDMI chip.

I'm not sure whether to file a new bug or not. My problem is basically the same, only on an ASUS K52JK notebook. My headphones are not being detected at all.
