Bug Description

Everytime I install a new ubuntu release my audio card is dedected but is not working. audiophile 24/96
So far as I understand this has a long history.

Maverick 10.10 fresh install. Same bug. I've had it before and previous fix doesn't work this time.

Yes the old workaround is not usable anymore. I just uninstalled pulseaudio as much as possible without wiping out the desktop. Everything is now ALSA and it works fine for me.

This release of Ubuntu is no longer receiving maintenance updates. If this is still an issue on a maintained version of Ubuntu please let us know.
