Bug Description
Im using the mb Gigabyte GA-X58A-UD3R Socket 1366 (on ubuntu lucid amd64).
I've tried placing 'options snd-hda-intel model=auto' and other variations I found on /etc/modprobe.
I even tried installing the package from ubuntu-audio-dev, stil same problem...
I have also checked that the recording is set to the appropiate mic (in alsamixer), I cant record from mic using the front nor the back mic connections. If i choose mic1 i hear nothing, apparently if I choose mic2 I hear the computer static, and if I try record it, I hear whatever I'm listeining to through the speakers (though in realy bad quality).
Very weird... I attach here more info below, please do let me know any other information that might get this MB working properly, for the rest it is working great as far as I know.

I feel somewhat ashamed to say this, but the bug IS totaly not there, at least when it comes to the mic properly working.
The mic works out of the box on Gigabyte GA-X58A-UD3R Socket 1366, even just with the Live CD. MY mic didnt because it was BROKEN mic. Now I should consider becoming a farmer instead.
