Bug Description
Binary package hint: alsa-base
Steps:
- Plug in a headphone to your notebook (speakers will be muted)
- Shut down the notebook
- Remove the headphones
- Turn on your notebook
- Speakers remain muted
- There is no way to unmute them using Sound Preferences
- Plug and unplug the headphones
- Back to normal
Another way to fix it is using Gnome Alsa Mixer to check Enable Speakers.
By the way, the should be an "Advanced" button in Sound preferences to configure such things.
