[VIA controller auto-mute] Headphone output does not work on ASUS P81IJ

When I plug my headphones in, sound output to the speakers is turned off, but I don't get sound in the headphones.

It still isn't working as of today using version 2.6.35-19 of the kernel. Anything I can do to help getting this fixed? It used to work with Lucid.
