Bug Description

When I boot into the system, the microphone works properly. But if I logout and then login again, the microphone stops working. When I go to sound preferences I don't see the horizontal sound level for "input" moving at all even when I change the input volume to maximum. I can hear only noise (white noise) if I try to record my voice.
